I’m excited about a project for which I’m volunteering, to “Make Canada the Fittest Nation on Earth by 2030”, and I wanted you to know how you can help.
An impressive array of Directors and Advisors have rallied around an attempt to reverse the waves of sedentary behaviour, overweightness, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and mental illness. These are issues that require a concerted new initiative among private and public partners. The National Health and Fitness Institute aims to work with kindred spirit organizations to get this initiative going.
We’ve been active for only 18 months but already have a charitable foundation, committed leaders, and a preliminary business plan. By the end of 2020, our goal is to raise $2 million, which will fund the Institute’s organization, a paddling centre, and a network of trails. You can find our Concept Video, Celebrity Videos, Brochure, and much more on our website.
If you choose to Donate, your tax-deductible contributions will be used wisely, with lasting impact. Your contributions can be made through our website, or by cheque in favour of “National Foundation for Active Living” (the formal name of our charitable foundation, which does business as the “National Health and Fitness Institute”). Please send cheques to 2635 Rosebery Avenue, West Vancouver, BC V7V 3A3. We’ve engaged Charitable Impact, a Canadian charitable giving platform, to assist with the accounting and issuing of tax receipts.
Please let me know if you’d like to know more about why so many of us are working “To Make Canada the Fittest Nation on Earth by 2030.” And thank you for your interest in this ambitious project.
With best regards,
