International Coach; National Sport Organization Leader; Health and Fitness Consultant
Pierre has in his professional life been a leader of national sports organizations renowned across sports organizations in Canada and other countries. He has served as CEO of Canada’s Cycling, Cross-Country Ski, Inter- University Sport, and Swimming Organizations. He has also been the Head Coach for Canada’s and Australia’s Olympic Swim Teams. Pierre was on the ground floor of the National Health and Fitness Movement, being one of those who formulated the concept of National Health and Fitness Day, serving as a Founding Director of the National Health and Fitness Foundation, and serving as the Parliamentary Swim Coach. He is now CEO of Lafontaine Sports Consulting and is the Canadian Olympic Committee NSO Co-Chair. Pierre received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for Community Service.
